UN Staff Union hosts XXI th Annual CCISUA Assembly

From the 13th through the 17th of February 2006, presidents of staff unions/associations
of the global UN Secretariat and several UN agencies will meet in New York for the XXIst CCISUA Assembly.

CCISUA is the global staff federation that provides representation on common system issues for staff before the intergovernmental bodies, particularly the International Civil Service Commission and the Fifth Committee of the UN General Assembly. Currently, the membership includes the staff unions/associations of: UN/New York, UNOG, UNOV, UNON, ESCWA, ECA, ESCAP, ECLAC, Field Staff Union, UNU, ICTY, ICTR, UNICEF Global Staff Association, UNHCR, UNIDO and ILO.

CCISUA will be tackling a very comprehensive agenda including: reform of the United Nations, local salary surveys, pensions, management reform and staff-management relations, staff recruitment procedures, security and safety of staff and the internal system of justice

23-5-2005 | The Hague | Training for CCISUA Reps Organises by ICTY
Training of CCISUA staff representatives has been organized for the week of 23 May. Two sessions will be held, each 2.5 days. Staff representatives from a number of organizations including UNHCR, UNESCO, ILO, ECLAC, UNOG, UNOV and ICTY will be participating. The training will be run by staff of the Trades’ Union Council (TUC) of the United Kingdom.
